The GGKP organized a number of events at this year’s Global Green Growth Summit, including a session on measuring progress on green growth and a side event on green growth knowledge management. The Global Green Growth Summit took place 10-11 June, 2013 in Songdo, South Korea.
Measuring Progress: Green Growth Indicators
Tuesday June 11th, 13:30-15:00
Room 109 1F, Songdo Convensia, South Korea
The Green Growth Knowledge Platform (GGKP) hosted this session to further the framework for monitoring progress on green growth. The session followed up on the joint publication on green growth indicators launched by the OECD, World Bank, UNEP and GGGI at the GGKP Annual Conference in early April this year. It focused on key priorities and gaps remaining for further research and analysis, considering in particular the use of green growth indicators in a policy context and remaining challenges in this regard.

The Future of Green Growth Knowledge: Sharing Open Data and Tools
Tuesday June 11th, 12:00-13:00
Room 302 (3F), Songdo Convensia, South Korea
This side event provided an opportunity to learn about and discuss current green growth knowledge management and knowledge sharing activities, and to consider ways in which we can maximize the sharing of knowledge globally in the future. It focused on two main topics: (i) the concept of open source development and how this supports the collaborative, community-based ethos of the GGKP and its affiliated programs the GGBP and CSPI, and (ii) linked open data and how the GGKP and others can embrace it to manage and share green growth knowledge.
